Look at the fucking travesty that was the new Star Wars films and how the older fanbase responded. Diehard fans hated the absolute hell out of it. The same goes for literally any fanbase, from big names like Marvel and Blizzard.
People hate seeing their hobbies crash and burn and only want to see it thrive. Is there something wrong with wanting it to stay on course and not capsize in a flaming ball of molten trash and false promises?
