Around the same time as the start of Percival's journey, a girl named Winnie was sent off to Unova.
She was on a mission. A mission her great uncle had given her.
Unnatural populations of Pokémon had begun springing up everywhere, and Winnie's uncle wanted to know: which region had the most valuable Pokémon in it? Which had the rarest, most profitable byproducts? How could he take advantage of this situation?
Seeing as Winnie was a wealthy teenager with nothing better to do than spend her life being a spoiled brat obsessed with buying new clothes, he saw it fit to send her off on his little errand. She was to scout out Unova for rare mon and send them back to him. As reward, she could keep whichever ones she liked best.
But, her uncle continued, she could only have one mon per area. He didn't want her taking too big a slice of his pie, after all, so she would have to choose wisely.
And if she ever found herself in a situation where it was too dangerous to continue, she was to return to her home region immediately.
With those basic rules set in place, Winnie and her three-lady-band set off to Unova in hopes of... well... Winnie didn't know for sure.
She didn't really care about this whole thing. But she'd heard great things about Unova's luxury fashion brands!
Maybe if she got some time away from this dumb mission, she'd be able to buy herself a fancy new coat or something...

Got a bit of time in today so I decided to get the grinding for Striaton over with asap. I would've gone further with this, but if I have to spend another five hours giving Thyme two more levels I'm going to throw this brick at someone. Everyone but Thyme has an Oran berry for the fight, btw.
Starter choices were Pidgey, Lillipup, Aron. I was very tempted to pick Lillipup... but then I remembered that I actually want this run to survive lol.
