The only reason you wouldn't like the anime was if you were taking it seriously, which is why a lot of the XY/Z watchers dislike SM's change of pace to include a bit less battling than other seasons as for to include more SoL segments, which I'm pretty sure well over half of the pokemon fans had wanted for a long time.
>>34897968I like the SM anime quite a bit. You know what to expect and false hopes are only present in the previews for the next episodes but that's a general anime thing so I don't count it. It certainly has a vacation-y feel to it since there doesn't seem to be any clear structures at a glance besides SoL (slice of life) stuff. You'll have a hard time finding any people that like it simply because it's different, especially in its art style. It has plenty of interesting stories to tackle and does some things much better than the games if I'm being completely honest. If you're deciding on dub v sub then I'd say subs just because of the sweet OP and ED (the new ones are amazing), and also because westerners can't voice act anime for shit... Besides those points and the fact that the dub is behind I don't see too much wrong with watching it that way, but then again I've only compared a few episodes. People complain about subbing groups but honestly it's a kids show so there isn't really that much you'd be missing out by watching an "inferior" sub. I know I caved in and got tired of waiting for PM to sub everything and haven't noticed much of a difference especially since I know a bit of Japanese and can fill in the gaps if they do screw up something. As always it's up to personal preference.
