Venonat and Venomoth have been driven to a nocturnal lifestyle due too much competition from diurnal Pokemon. They have learned to move in silence similar to a spectre to no disturb sleeping Pokemon while they feed on flower nector. They spread spores in self defense, these spores obscure the attackers vision, almost making them appear invisible.
Spectremoth are very quiet and prefer to not engage in battle. Despite this however they are said to omens of bad luck. If you see one at night, you might feel your life force slowly being drained from you.
