>>38974470I'm in the same boat here. I don't transfer but I get everyone's heartache, a lot of folks have Pokemon that have been with them for years and not being able to bring them along has gotta suck.
If you think about it, Pokemon's biggest upside compared to other monster catching franchises is the ability to transfer Pokemon. Not many other monser catching games can say people can bring a monster from a game from 2002 all the way to a game from 2017. That's Pokemon's big shtick.
And what the fuck do we get when we remove all that? Cut-and-paste environments? Hallway routes? Minimal-effort animations for both battles and the overworld? Garbage story? Shitty waifus?
This is GF's biggest fuckup, and it warms my crusty-ass heart seeing people finally realize just how lazy GF is.
And on the topic of attack animations honestly they could've easily done something like how the older console Pokemon games or Digimon did:
>Only shows monster 1 winding up and attacking>Hard cut to just monster 2 taking damage and playing the damage animationIt's simple, but it works SO MUCH FUCKING BETTER. That's how limited animations can be used.
