-Misty feels "Psyducked" and remarks that her head hurts after seeing this, and then Psyduck responds in turn. We also see Latias, proving once and for all that episode 1 was IN FACT NOT FILLER.
-The final scene in the woods has a color palate incredibly reminiscent of Misty/Brock/Ash's goodbye in the OS, it's fitting this is how she returns.
-Misty sneakily following him is classic tsundere, she gives the Clauncher excuse, but the anime goes out of the way to make her all blushy and nervous about it. Ash sees through this and attempts to get a one up on Misty, but Pikachu gives him the excuse to relent.
-As Misty joins Ash by his side, he shows a quick moment of surprise, then a smile.
Verdict: After much contemplation, my read of the situation is that
Misty has a genuine chance, but it's still to early to call. Next episode will prove a lot moving forward.
