The player has to rely on outside drawings of Decidueye to understand the Pokemon. Also, the proportions are a bit wrong, and the outline is pitch black making the sprite look like a sticker. The immature shading also makes the Pokemon look flat, so the whole effect that the game depends on for interest is missing. This is the reason B/W are disliked, whereas my fondest memories of RSE are the almost three-dimensional sprites. Pic related.
