People already memory holed this, but back when the Van Gogh pikachu was a thing, initially tpci distributed it as a promo to local store to avoid brownoids destroying the museum. Take a wild guess at what the local stores did... yep, they pocketed everything and flipped them on ebay. They even defended this by saying "bro how am I supposed to just hand over this 100$ card to kids for free!! you can't expect us to... not be niggers! it's their fault this happened". It got so fucking bad that tpci pulled it back and gave the pikachus to supermarkets only. They like to pretend they're better than that but they are literally no different from scalpers if you give them the chance.
