People don't seriously think Origins is better than Indigo League do they?
Even ignoring the whole 'lolmegacharizardadvert' thing Origins is horrendous. The original Indigo League series is a children's cartoon that, while somewhat formulaic and cheesy at times, actually captured the wonder of the world of pokemon. It has an incredible atmosphere and a feeling of real adventure, exploration, and danger. And regardless of what's happened in subsequent series, Ash does actually progress as a person and trainer. Most importantly, it understands that following the logic of the games to a tee makes for shit television. Origins on the other hand does the unthinkable: it somehow makes the world of pokemon seem... dull. Boring. I mean, that literally shouldn't be conceptually possible, but it somehow manages it. It tries way too hard to be 'grown up', to be something 'more' than a kiddy cartoon, and as a result it comes off all the more childish and tacky.
tl;dr Indigo League is good because it was written for children, Origins is bad because it was a nostalgia pandering fuckfest written to appease autistic manchildren
