Last I checked in (more like exposed to the lot of them against my will) they were getting heated over fanart of the beta sprites of Ingo and Emmet, specifically people drawing them with red arm bands because it makes them look like Nazis. I always hated the majority of English-speaking fans but that really drove the point home that they're mostly idiots. Although, I have no idea if this was a point of contention with Japanese fans since "the red armband of leadership" has been a thing over there for ages, and probably why they were originally red to begin with. It almost explains why Depot Agents are green because complimentary colors but that's just a theory on my part lol
