>>43123853as for Red, honestly a scary but easy fight. Pikachu can't tank a hit, and I wanted a Pokemon with emergency speed control so I led with Choice Scraf Typhlosion. Pikachu went down and I went to Cradily against Blastoise. Did you know Storm Drain doesn't give immunity in Gen 4? I did, and thought I'd be fine without it. I was, as Cradily could tank Hydro Pumps but NOT full accurate Blizzards. Toxic stall didn't work as Red Full Restored anyway. Went into Venomoth and shot Blastoise down. Charizard went down to Hippopowdon's Rock moves, switched out in Venomoth and setup Calm Mind's to +6 since I knew Red's rest of team couldn't deal with it. GG Red
Overall I didn't hate Sacred Gold - but I did have many problems with cheap self destruct and explosion Mons, I only lost like 8 pokemon though so I'm happy. Dray's hacks are definitely worth a playthough, and I know I will be doing Renegade Platinum, Volt white 1 and 2, and maybe the ORAS ones. Will post my current Full Series roster after this
