>>13784965>People are still saying megas suck since they can't use any items besides mega stonesTop kek. It's pretty much confirmed that megas will get tremendous stat boosts. Imagine if MegaChomp got a +50% in its Attack and Speed, it would be a combined Choice Band and Scarf without having to be locked into a single move. Even if it's "just" a +25% to both stats, there's no way it could be considered shit in any way.

>Let's take two resistances away from a type that's supposed to be super defensive>Let's make the second most ineffective attacking type in the game even more innefective because why not?>Ghost is such a shitty attacking type, let's nerf it so it has only two countersSeriously, after all the good news Gen VI introduced some of the absolute shittiest things ever seen in the history of Pokemon. The Bug nerf was absolutely unneeded and inexcusable. Bug was pretty much a joke type in Gens I-III due to the lack of good attacks and Pokemon to use. Although Bug was the second most ineffective type (only beaten by Grass), it finally became a serious and useful type thanks to the good Pokemon and moves introduced in Gens IV & V. And then Gamefreak destroys everything by giving Fairy, most likely the new dominant and omnipresent type, a resistance to Bug, thus making Bug pretty much a joke again. If anything, Bug should have been super effective against Fairy since Poison and Steel are not very common attacking types and Fairy should definitely have a bit more counters.
