Do you think cross-gen evos will return in full force in Gen VIII?

I mean it has been 3 gens since we had a cross-evo (not couting Sylveon), so could be getting another batch like Gen 4i mean there's a lot of Gen 2, 4, 5, 6 and 7 Pokemon that need an evo still.
Also given how Galar is close to Kalos it might make sense to give old pokemon an evo like how Jotho and Sinnoh were close to other regions.
(Probably not as much since Gen 4 since it had 30 but maybe 13-15 or so?)
