Okay /vp/, I can't help but blog about something.
First of all my team consists of
Mienshao
Shiny Pyroar
Mawile
Aurorus
Dragalge
Pidgeot
I have something to admit. I've never had a "pokebro". There has never been a time when I've had a pokemon come through for me over and over again, in the times I needed them to most. Until now.
I feel the same way I assume most people feel, in that pokemon games are pretty damn easy, all things considered. At least for the story mode.
So I got to the 8th gym in Y (but never actually challenged it) and then left the game for about 4 days due to feeling bored of it. I came back to it today just to hurry up and get the story mode over. I wrecked the 8th gym with extreme ease and went on to battle the elite 4.
Now I'd just like to say that all of my pokemon at this point where level 58-60. I had about 8 revives, 6 max revives, 11 super potions, 2 max potions, and 3 hyper potions and a handful of soda. Needless to say, I was not very prepared for this.
I was very confident that I was going to breeze through the elite 4 with no problems.
I start off with the steel guy. My Pyroar is the only pokemon left standing after this battle (this guys Aegislash and Scizor wrecked me.
I then beat the fire and dragon trainers...not easily, but I certainly did much better against them than the rest.
Then I get to the water guy who was massacring my team with all 4 of his pokemon. Again, I left this fight with 1 pokemon standing.
At this point, I had 1 revive and 2 max revives left.
My pidgeot was the only pokemon standing from the water guy battle so I decided to revive my Mienshao, Pyroar, and Aurorus and heal them to full hp.
So I go into the Diantha fight with only 4 underleveled pokemon. Barely any healing items remaining, and no revives to speak of. To put things simply, I had no hope of coming out of this fight with a victory.
