Sorry to hear about that, OP. My Grandma died New Year's Eve and the same thing happened, we all went up to see her. My mother, cousin, and I got all Sherlock and Watson in her trailer home, and we deduced that she had a heart attack in her sleep. It's a blessing, really, because that's how she wanted to go. Anyway, I know how you feel.
