That said, it also is not fair to charge full price for a game then have a paywall inside the game to be able to complete your dex. And then there's the subscriptions needed to be able to trade to yourself from previous games... not one purchase, multi-year purchases!
It's all not far throw from "click here to buy a randomized Moltres with a different coloration". or, worse yet "Click here to buy a pokemon with a random rare pokemon in it" AKA Lootbox.
