>>49371592This, I fucking hate post Gen 7, but I'm having a lot of with this game. There is a lot of charm that wasn't in Gen 8 that is present here, the pokemon have actual animations and act like they actually would, almost every side quest has a unique cutscene to go with it like the bidoofs running around, they have gyarados flying around the world. Apparantly Masuda had 0 involvement with this unlike the other games and it really shows just how badly he drags projects down even if he isn't the director.
This reminds me of the Street fighter 5 situation where the main guy (Ono) gets kicked out of the company after 15 years and the quality of the game and the amount of charm each new character brought went up drastically.
I do still have my complaints about the game that I feel a sequel would iron out, but it really depends on if they get any of the old guard to touch the game because personally I don't want them too, it feels like they suck the life out of whatever they touch
