I'm currently at 2034 on bank ou and haven't used a single hazard once, defog allows me to forego a spinner that would overwise ruin my team synergy and means that my opponents waste turns setting up only for Gliscor to blow everything away.
Sure, if you're running stall then it isn't going to work out but if not, you should at least give it a try.
