I have fond memories of both Emerald and Platinum. Cyrus character and story and his fate in Platinum are probably my favorite thing about Pokemon.
Platinum was such a satisfying game and the only time I have felt that everything falls into place and feels fulfilling. With other pokemon games I'm like (and I notice other people too) "wasted potential this underdeveloped that and rushed here", not with Platinum and Cyrus' story. From beginning to end his character was well laid out and had the right amount of mystery surrounding him. He has excellent manga counterparts too.
