>>36888837I think the main reason I like Incineroar (mainly the way it is presented in Smash that is) is because of its smug jerkface personality and the interesting moveset Sakurai designed , with many pro-wrestling moves in mind. I also love this new iteration of a counter, instead of just negating the damage back you have to time it just right and take a hit but the payoff is so much more satisfying. Dishing out around 60% damage at the cost of taking damage yourself seems so good to pull off and feels like a true heel move. Just look at this bastard. Something about seeing it give you that shit eating grin makes you want to punch it so fucking hard but it also gives it a kind of cheesy charm a lot of other characters in Smash have. And the fact that it is so cartoony in nature is why I think it fits really well into Smash, even more so than any anime-like characters, though I have absolutely nothing against them because a lot of them started really cartoony anyway (like Cloud).
