I’d rather have momsdogs that are given characterization by showing up in the game world (both in the wild and how they’re utilized by human society) than a bunch of hecking quirkerinos like Dracovolt or whatever where the (bad) design tells the entire story. Sun and Moon seemed to want to attempt this in the concept arts but it’s something gf is historically bad at doing even in games with overworld Pokemon sprited/modeled
