>>21159540>>21159893I agree with carson's line of thinking here, but I disagree that is what we should do.
Yes, IF it is determined the plot doesn't follow the summery, the technically correct thing to do would be to resurvey plot entirely. But we are talking about moving one event to take place slightly later then it currently does. That's it. We aren't changing the whole plot, we aren't changing his entire character, we are just making it so his realization that he has crossed the line takes place after he awakens quetzar, not before.
Functionally speaking, it makes no sense for us to invalidate the plot as a whole or redo the plot surveys. I am a very big proponent of following survey protocol and fixing our mistakes even if it is inconvenient and counterproductive to do so, partly because I feel it is important that we force ourselves to be accoutable and to have suffer the consequences of our mistakes, and fix them when possible, to ensure that we learn from them and take steps to prevent repeating them in the future.
In this case, I think that there is no lesson here that needs to be learned (I think everybody is aware of what went wrong and how they should prevent it), nor do I think that there is any slippery slope here, we are all clear on why in this case we didn't start plot over, and since fixing said issue is super easy. Having voters decide how this should be handled, if at all, is the best course of action.
I also think it's worth noting that while I agree that the plot did not adhere to the spirit of what the summery intended with what it said, carson is correct in that it does not technically break it, though it bends it quite a bit.

>>21161056>>21161004>>21160987>>21160973>>21160881I trust her to make the survey, she has worked on plot a great deal and knows how complex the subject is
