Col/XD are actually overrated AF. I played both of them just so that I could get Lugia + co in the Gen 3 games. This is what the gameplay is:
> Only double battles, which are fine but get monotonous> No wild battles (with one small exception), meaning that you're forced to battle trainers for eternity, and it can be hard to train> Shitty Shadow Pokémon mechanic, the only Pokémon you can catch at first, in Colosseum they had only one move, and you have some really god awful calling mechanic where you have to "purify" them, padding out the game just so you can catch your Pokés> You start at level 25, and the end pokémon are at level 68 or something, giving you a smaller range of levels to play with compared to the main series> The paths are mostly just straight lines, with trainers that want to fight you.Of course the game have some good points, like character design, animations, music and aesthetics, but I cannot enjoy those games. They're not perfect, guys
