I’m so done with people writing “taken for granted “ facts like “Pokémon is dead” and such who are you to claim so?
Pokémon has never had such a huge and solid fan base as now, including old fans like me and other million people who started playing back when Pokémon was on the game-boy, newer players who started with the latest gens, and so many new fans are to come with swoshie, many new boys and girls will start their first Pokémon adventure in the Galar region and will love it.
You all would love it the same way if you put your senseless expectations aside and stopped comparing the new games (that you haven’t even tried yet) with the past ones.
Think of it:
1. It’s a matter of fact that the dexcut is a pity , but it’s not something that could be avoided, maybe for this generation it could have been possible for GF to keep all the mons but sooner or later it would have happened anyway. Could you imagine, in gen 15 having like 1700-2000 monsters? I Honestly and personally don’t, although I would obviously be glad if it happened.
2. Some of new Pokemon designs are different from the ones we were used to, but it doesn’t mean they are terrible, would you really admit that you like Seaking or speaarow more than Barraskewda or cramorant? (It’s just an example, of course; tastes are personal). I, personally hate (the design of) Indeedee and Eiscue (same as I did back in time with maractus and klefki), but maybe as the time goes by I will get used to them. There are many other aspects to consider about new Pokemon other than their look, I personally am very satisfied with this new gen. (I would also like to remind you that when greninja was initially leaked, ANYONE used to say that it was one of the ugliest Pokemon ever but, by a few months it was the most appreciated mons)
