So I'm back home, Kate, if you're around.
So I was thinking, is the transfer of power complete? Do the new leaders have document editing permission yet? They need to have that.
I dunno if Callum emailed all you new GL types with some protips, but here's a few things you ought to know.
1 - after you have a match with a challenger, if you have access to a computer, edit in the results of those battles on the document. If you're away, you can submit a report like a challenger would and you or another leader with wizard powers can see the report and edit the document for you later.
2 - if there's a rule change you want, discuss it with all the leaders and vote on it. Majority rules, but if it's a 5-3 decision, further discussion might be prudent. Ths is the part where you can act like children with shotguns, so practice trigger discipline, catch my meaning? Emailing Strawpoll links to each other works nicely.
3 - email each other. If you find your gym is overrun with certain trouble Pokemon (last season it was Stockpile Gastrodon, initially), hash out strategies together.
4 - one of you new 8 people need to volunteer for wizard powers, I.E., the match reports get sent to you. You would hold responsibility for making sure the challenger records stay up-to-date, which can be a daily task, just to warn you up front. Doesn't seem right to just assume Callum will do this forever.
5 - it's the challenger's responsibility to seek out and challenge YOU, the gym leader. Be available for battle as much as you can manage. Time zones suck.
6 - don't be a dick. Take losses in stride. Take victories with class. Don't be afraid to give advice. Keep something on your team to kill toxic stall Gliscor to help mitigate uncontrollable rage.
7 - this is for fun, so have fun.
