I liked the idea of using bathyspheres and an underwater maze, so I went ahead and did a mock-up of that. What do people think?
Basically you go around flipping switches to activate bathyspheres. For the underwater track you pilot the bathysphere along a series of set courses, forward lights illuminating the way.
Other good ideas which I didn't incorporate:
>research aquariums, filled with different species, having to dive through them ... last dive opens up into a glass tunnel, with nurshary swimming around overhead
>using little boats to get from island to island
>a quiz portion? Answering archeology facts ... get them wrong, battle trainer.
>using bathysphere to go from level to level, deeper and deeper.
