I always found it rather odd that N's hair conveniently displays similar traits as Ghetsis', yet for some reason he's apparently adopted. To play devil's advocate, they might've just went with similar hair for them to make it easier for the player to connect the dots... Actually, now that I'm typing it out, I can see this design choice being visual handholding for the player as a legit possibility now.
