Ok, I'm going to set the record straight because people still seem to be confused on what the list of pokemon on the bottom mean.
They're simply mons from the previous gens that are confirmed to be in Alola. The colored in ones have been shown clearly in battle or the overworld and such. The greyed out ones AREN'T confirmed for Alolan forms or megas (Doesn't necessarily exclude them from Alola forms though). It simply means that we haven't seem them officaially and currently only have hints.
Pic related shows how each of the mons has been hinted at in pokedex order.
Venusaur, Typhlosion, and Feraligatr are there because the other starters of that gen are.
I can't find Weavile or Lumineon families though. There is one sign on the water hotel that I can't see clearly and maybe Waevile/Sneasel are represented through clothes that I didn't make the connection to.
