For first gen, definitely 11. I'd say second too. Third and fourth maybe 12~13ish. Fifth 14~15. Sixth 16+, seventh is 11 again and eighth is 12~13 again. I dunno how that other anon possibly thinks the protags and rivals in Galar are in goddamn highschool, holy moley
I honestly think fan art fucks up people's perception of these characters to the point where they're unwilling to believe certain characters are kids cause they associate them too much with aged up barely legal porn bods. The fan base of Pokemon desperately wants to think of Hilda as a busty seductive highschool senior and not a spunky middle school kid, for example. Goes double for Rosa.
