>>45852499Not collecting, but a guy from school I hadn't seen in years got me playing MtG a couple of times with someone else's deck during a mini-tourney his friends were having.
>Playing white(?), the one with loads of soldiers in it>Opponent is new too, blue deck and is getting a basic lesson from a regular player>She has like a couple high-level dragons on the field (2 alone do 12 attack together), I've got several basic ones (8 attack)>Casually ask the regular if spells can be cast whenever, he says yeah sure>She plays the dragons, will easily wipe me>You've just activated my trap card.jpg, Soul Parry>She's now defenseless and only has 8 hits points>She's just sort of like "...oh" while regular's pretty amusedI think that match actually won me the mini-tourney, fun was had by all. This was before lockdown though so I haven't bothered getting my own deck or anything yet
