Many dislike the Alola Pokémon's artwork as it contrasts with Sugimori's artwork. But I like Ohmura's clean artworks much better, even if they look a bit flatter due to the shading. You can tell the difference with Lycanroc. The Dusk form is drawn by Sugimori and looks unclean compared to Ohmura's Lycanroc artwork. The Galar Pokemon artworks were okay, but I'm wondering what's up with GameFreak. A lot of the artworks of the Hisui and Paldea Pokémon are horrific, and appears to have been drawn in a hurry by someone trying to imitate Sugimori in a bad way. Sometimes the artworks look unclean, flat or as if they were drawn over the ingame model. That makes me sad and I hope that the artworks for the generation 10 Pokemon will look better again.
