>>49594185i came home from my first day in kindergarten to catch the first episode of Pokemon, the part where pikachu after being a complete dickhead saves Ash's life and then Ho-Oh flies overhead. i was hooked, just like the character i really wanted to know what the rainbow bird was, and 'we' went on an adventure together, the episode where the ship sank and teetered above an abyss was scary, when Ash came to the viridian gym and Gary had *just* lost to Mewtwo - which tied in with the movie, it was wonderous. i got a book that *was* the hoot hoot episode i saw - in book form, really cool, and eventually the mystery of Ho-Oh was unveiled in the anime. from then on i slowly peetered off the series, i got really sad when bulbasaur was presumed dead, and loved when Ash's pokemon kept him warm in the cave, laughed when team rocket got stuck unable to get out of the hot spring,
i played through Red version several times plugged into an outlet sometimes (cool feature) and i borrowed Gold version and Crystal version from two of my friends at one point in time, and i wanted to get Ruby but i reckon that was the day my interest in pokemon completely fell out, my bro proclaimed he could play it for free on his PC, and i felt deflated and decided to not even buy the game, and that was it really.
