Or hell bring back Gary Oak, he's a much more iconic character to the KANTOOO crowd than Misty will ever be.
It especially looks pathetic that they bring Misty back right on the heels after the long-anticipated Amour kiss that was supposedly meant to be "a big deal."
There were plenty of ways that the Ashnime could of tried to pull the KANTOOOO crowd without delibrately cucking Serena but they chose to go the latter anyways to prove a point that she was just a one-off Pokegirl after all and isn't important in the long-run in the slightest.
