Serena could've been out practicing her performance with her Pokemon in a park that Goh just happened to be catching Pokemon in, and maybe Grookey runs off after hearing some music playing, leading Goh to chase after him, only by the time Goh catches up with Grookey, its already joined Serena's dancing Pokemon. Pretty natural way to get these two to meet I'd say. Goh's Pokemon could've helped Serena with her dance practice and the two could've talked about how a certain boy inspired them (maybe without realizing they're both talking about the same guy, lol). Would've been a cozy, fun episode imo.
