I decided to play Black 2 after many years of just not being interested in it. When the game came out I was disinterested as I thought it was another rehash like Emerald or Platinum so I didn't buy it as I already played Black. When I picked up the game I was blown away at the pacing and the shear amount of pokemon available so early on and the features that were added. I thought it was a meme that BW2 were the best games. I figured they were mediocre so hence the maymay. Honestly, I haven't had so much fun with pokemon since my playthrough of Crystal Clear. I feel like its criminal that these games sold less than BW. For any anon that has not played them or those disheartened about Sword and Shield remember those old good games and give them the attention and love they derserve.
