Update on Azalea Town. We succesfully drove Team Rocket out of Slowpoke Well, claimed the Hive Badge, and Logan evolved into Quilava, making him the first to evolve. Koffing dealt surprising damage, but Chris was able to take it down with a well placed Leer. Logan swept the gym until Scyther popped out second, which opened with Fury Cutter, for some reason, but switched to Quick Attack. Smokescreen actually came in handy by making it miss twice in a row, leaving Kakuna to be one shot.
Side note before we dump some lore: this Team Rocket isn't Archer's. His attempt failed years ago in universe, this is a completely different team and leader. That's why Proton isn't mentioned as being at the well.

I believe our experiments have proven a success.">Logan quickly awoke and rushed towards Azalea Gym to free the town from Rocket's grip.
