this was really bad
like 'worst pokemon fangame i've ever played' bad, and unlike something like wack or urmumium which are just obvious shitty joke games, you can tell this really wanted to be a serious project (myth might have been worse, but as rg said above, we didn't play it to completion)
again, i have to give some leeway for the fact it was a solo inexperienced dev, but he really should've just made this as a quick project to learn about scripting, events, etc. and not a full fledged 30 hour game. i've played a decent amount of games (not necessarily pokemon fangames) by solo devs, it can be pulled off, but usually in project scale a lot smaller than this - was ultimately this game's biggest issue, it just refused to end or dial it back with none of the skill necessary to achieve what it wanted to do
i don't think the guy who made this game is a retard or a bad dev per se, but i do think he shouldn't be working on multiple aspects of his game solo, and it makes the prospects grim for SS2 that again he's done mostly everything by himself. if anything i feel a lot more disappointment in the people who praised this doubtlessly because it's a finished fangame and offer nothing in the way of criticism
hope the dev learned...something, and i can at least hope that SS2 will be better than this was, but i don't have hope that it'll be a good or even passable game
1.5/10, even though the game performed well enough my thoughts toward it are negative enough that i can say it's worse than some games i've seen that don't even function properly. never recommend
>>55244902nah it's been in the code for a while, FF7Remake also doesn't have it
rebirth might though
