I saw a thread earlier that has since died out filled with false information. I'm going to take this time to tell you what I know of the next main series Pokemon game. There will in fact be a Z verison, however it will not be released as just 'Pokemon Z Version'.
It takes place in Southern Kalos and includes 42 new species to make up for the lack of new Pokemon in Northern Kalos. There are 28 new Mega Evolutions as well.
The game is set to be announced at E3 in the next few weeks. Along with the game will be the announcement of 3 new Mega Pokemon. These are Mega Chesnaught, Mega Delphox and Mega Greninja.
Mega Chesnaught gets rounder with two large sheilds on either arm. It can tuck up to form a ball shape. It has the new ability 'Boulderdash' which increases the power of certain ball and bomb moves. Due to it being able to become a ball shape, it has increased movement speed and power, so its Speed and Attack stats are increased somewhat. It's defense also sees a marginal increase.
Mega Delphox continues along the witch route. It now stand on it's wand, and acts like a broomstick. A witches hat sits on its head with long hair coming down, shrouding it much like a cloak. It gets the ability 'Levitate' and sees an increase in Sp.Attack, Sp.Defense and it's speed.
Mega Greninja gains what looks like a straw hat on its head and is covered in bubbles. It stands like a quadruped, though is capable of standing on its back legs as well. It gains the ability 'Practical' which makes the user invulnerable to the type of it's last used move. It has a slight speed drop, but the rest of its stats see an increase.
