Oh you want a fire type? Wait till fucking kanto to catch houndour, or wait again till Kanto to evolve your growlithe. Oh wait. It fucking learns a good firemove mid 30 to 40 and finally learns flamethrower at level 50...
Same with all the water pokemon and the grass you encounter. You need to wait till fucking kanto to evolve them. You still can catch Lapras pretty early game on friday though, but who catches Lapras when most of the cool guys picked Totodile or ran with the red Gyara.
And then the fucking level design. The second last town with the 7th gym have lower levelled wild pokemon and trainers than the 5th gym. I mean what the fuck?
Why is most of this shit game gated before kanto? I don't understand why people like this game when it's a fucking clusterfuck of levels and pokemon.
Are you just supposed to run through the game with just your starter? Who designed this shit
If you can trade, you can get abra or machop pretty early before the third gym and the only pokemon worth catching before the elite four is heracross which is basically fucking rare.
Fuck this game.
