Any girl with a strong personality and funny dynamic with Ash like Misty will be instantly popular as long as she is prettier than May and Serena. Even the opposition against Misty & Pokeshipping will tone down if the anime redesign her to be more feminine-looking girl with long hair such as Yumemi Hidaka (Munto)
