I don't think XY is much worse than games like RS or DP personally. RS and DP were games that released rushed and filled with problems. But whereas both of those games got third versions that fixed a lot of those problems, XY got nothing like that. All we're left with to remember Kalos by is the initial release of XY, void of content and personality. And that's how it's going to stay until we get XY remakes like 10 years from now, which if it's going to be anything like BDSP was, it's going to keep the void content of the original in order to be "faithful". It's a shame Kalos ended up becoming such a cursed region, it had a lot of potential to be good.
