>>43451868C4D can indeed have some nice results but you'll be needing plugins and a whole bunch of effects that you need to set up and calibrate, plus it doesn't seem to have any support for PBR materials so you'll be improvising a lot. Blender usually has some nicer results with a few nodes, and has more sofisticated effects like bloom and whatnot, I don't use it much but the few times I gather the patience to mess around with it, it usually gives me some pretty good render results. Basically, C4D is better for quicker stuff while Blender (at least to me) is better for more complex renders.
