Also, I think I read somewhere that Lopunny's body-style is called "doll" in Japan (same as Clefairy, which is how pokédolls look like). So Loppuny having a somewhat inorganic appearance might be intentional; after all its just a doll.
I don't know if I want to believe they would go this far for a pokémon design, it's just too much for something that isn't even used like Lucario.
