>>49959689See, but what the games do with legendries outside of the box cover storyline ones suck. It's entirely an accessibility thing. Every legendary is thrown into every game nowadays so no kid has to buy an ancient game for the 3Ds in order to get a legendary they really really want.

From Mewtwo to the Legendary Birds and Lugia to Deoxys and Rayquaza (bless ORAS for making this rivalry canon to the games), there's this very strong depiction of Legendary Pokemon as absolute power houses and incredibly rare I think the later series falls at. You even start to see this in the Arceus movie, where Arceus is taken down by a bunch of random monsters because he lost a few of his plates or something.
