Zmove is, by design, a bad mechanic, it just destroy one poke, it's literally a free OHKO, but that's not what we are here to talk about.
what VGKEK said how ever, is that Dmax is a good one, especially when compared to Zmoves which is extremely dishonest.
Dmax makes one of your pokemon extremely powerful AND extremely bulky, because of that you can easily get 1-2 kill on those 3 turns if you don't play like a deepshit, which is already worst than Zmove when you think about it since every poke can do it without an item, BUT IT'S NOT THE END!
you then also have a boosted pokemon since moves augments your stats, and that for free.
combine that with the fact that the metagame is a fucking mess with the stat of the game then yes, Dmax is BY FAR the worst the mechanic we had in any pokemon game.
