>>23510309It's because Platinum fixed all the issues with DP, and HGSS were, and still are, the best remakes in the series, if not best games overall. Many Johtoddlers, myself included, were not as into Gen 3 as the previous games. HGSS did a great job of restoring that childlike wonder that the originals gave.
Gen 4's only downsides were DPP and the level curve.
