Even if they once more made something as good as their best game (BW2), I would still be unable to trust them in the long run. After all, they followed the best game with the biggest shit in the franchise's history (XY).
Gamefreak is a lost cause at this point, give the series to some other developer already.

I like coming up with teams in rpgs, the bigger variety, the better (although I do not care about the competitive aspect at all). Plus, it's one of the best experiences in video games when you take a character/monster from the bottom/lowest level all the way to the top.
The gameplay itself is pretty lacklustre, though. If Sun/Moon doesn't improve in that regard I may finally give up on the franchise.
