As far as the main game goes, no one gives a shit. It takes a special brand of autism to care about an ingame team beyond maybe natures. I'd go as far as to say that the only people who care about IVs are the ones who know they exist. The children and casuals would not notice the difference.
Oh, and hidden power is now baseline, so the only things IVs affect about it is the type. Hell, even with the most recent breeding mechanics hidden power is still considered difficult to breed for, yet it's been a critical part of competitive battling for years, and plenty of pokemon are aching for that extra coverage.
So is there a reason to keep IVs around?
