If people truly wanted to win, they could try to boost their luck through various rituals. I might recommend summoning Volac from the Arc Goetia.
Tournament players would show up dressed in their ritual clothing, carrying mysterious lucky trinkets, cutting their veins open onto their Switch as a blood sacrifice, and chanting throughout the entire battle. At least it'd make Smogon a little more interesting.
