He kind of blindsighted me, I lead with Coba. I switch Yache into a growl. Fake Out does its thing, but due to Growl its kind of ass. So is Bite. Pikachu Electroballs for a sizable chunk of Yache's health. I send in my speedy Shuca the Cutiefly and it crits Struggle Bug on it. Another one kills the Pikachu, after it Electroballed for 50%. Popplio comes in and I decide to let Shuca stay in and paralyze it with Stun Spore. 2 Struggle bugs from Shuca and two full para's from Pop later, disaster strikes as Popplio's Water Gun crits and pierces my fly to death. I send in Mago who revenge kills with two Tackles. A real shame, Cutiefly is a decent mon and it walls Hala completely.
So... everything went wrong here.
>Hala
Lansat got outsped by Mankey and it Focus Energy'd, while Lansat's Sharp Beak boosted peck barely did over half. Lansat gets crit (ofc) and barely hangs on, but his peck kills Mankey. Makuhita comes in and Fake Out Mago. Mago goes for Yawn, but Hala has a full heal for some reason. I try to widdle it down with confusion, which barely does chip damage, so after a few turns of going back and forth I send Maku asleep again and send in Coba to kill it.
Crabrawler up last and it immediately goes for its Z-move and even though its NVE, Coba's health goes from 100% to about 20. I try to switch her out, but it dies to pursuit. I send in Babiri and try to Peck it to death, but it barely does 1/4th. So Crabrawler Leers and then Pursuits after Babiri when I switch Babiri out. And, naturally, it's a crit (I dont think it mattered though). Apicot manages to slay the beast, but damn I'm kind of sad and a little bit salty since my mons hits basically bounced off of Hala's.
I still cant into calc, according to the calcs Mago's confusion should've been a 50% minimum and it didnt even come close to 35%
Apicot is still overleveled, even though I only used it on the Route 3 trainer with Rockruff.
Skill issue on my end I suppose.
